Movies are among the most significant factors in the modern age. From inventing new styles to informing the common people films are sure to influence the general population. Since the invention of the the first motion film in the 1890s the movies have been the visual record of human development. When it comes to movies that are made for entertainment Here’s an article by the Pulitzer Prize winner film critic Roger Ebert:
“We live in a box of space and time. Movies are windows in its walls. They allow us to enter other minds not simply in sense of identifying with the characters, but by seeing the world as another person sees it.”
Roger once stated that art was the closest we can be to understanding what the other person feels. Movies as an amalgamation of both visual and audio forms of art creates an extremely sophisticated and complex kind of art and for more detail visit
There is a certain effect that movies can have on our mental process. As we leave a cinema after watching a movie we depart with a certain sort of thoughts that are based on the film we saw. In the course of our daily life, we flit through the myriads of emotional and social aspects that help us remain human. We live in a world that has many colors and variations of human characteristics, yet we don’t recognize or appreciate it, as we are caught up in our work.
The films are a wonderful reminder of who is in us and what we’ve got. Let’s consider “Forrest Gump” for instance that depicts the innocence one man, who has the determination to create something from himself regardless of his flaws. Or the more recent one “Happythankyoumoreplease”, which shows characters, no different from the ones in our neighborhood.
The characters of the world of reels are not different from the characters we encounter in our lives and the problems they encounter are similar to of those we have to face. Films help us comprehend life from different angles.
Let’s look at contemporary historical period films as well as old classics, they represent how things were back in the past. For us, as ordinary citizens, they are likely to remind us of our history as well as a source for reminiscence and nostalgia.
There are movies such as “Blade Runner” which give us a glimpse of how things may be in the near future, and others that allow us to laugh and have fun. In addition to educating us, and entertaining our laughs, and warning us about future things that may happen to us, the movies are able to influence our actions and thoughts.
Technology for movies has evolved from a basic quick-moving collection of images into a complex business. As technology continues to gain acceptance, films have become a aspect of our everyday lives. For instance, in a casual conversation with friends or the every day news program the movies are often the main topics of debate.
As a primary form of entertainment films in general can also be described as an unofficial source for learning. People learn more from films than other sources even though that could appear to be an exaggeration. In many countries that are not developed, films and TV shows are utilized as a means to inform the masses about social change and overall shift. There is no doubt about the wide range of movies but this could also be detrimental because not every movie is a reflection of the same values.
Films that fall within the categories of historical drama, war movies that are historical and biopics are frequently criticized for straying from historical facts. These films are accused of manipulating the narrative to make it more dramatic and create interesting films.
One of these films one of these is “Pearl Harbor”, which was released despite a lot of criticism. With filmmakers taking such liberties with historical concerns, it’s irresponsible and unforgiveable. In the wake of such films, viewers are led to think that a fictional story is reality which is not an excellent thing.
In contrast,, there are films that fall within the horror and action genres that have been criticized for violent content. Directors such as Quentin Tarantino in Hollywood and Anurag Kashyap from Bollywood have their own motives and rational explanations for such content.
Even with their rationales, there is no doubt that exposure to violence could create personality disorders in children as well as other demographics who are open to. There are appropriate processes for selection and allotting categories that a film goes through prior to the release date to limit negative effects. But their effectiveness is dependent on the way in which they are implemented.
Sometimes, films are seen as a waste of time. It’s not a bad idea however it is important to be aware that there are millions of films that belong to one genre, and there are a variety of kinds of genres.
While not all are worthy of our attention, they don’t all deserve our attention either. Therefore, it is on us to select the film that is worthy of our time. The selection of films varies with each person. Every genre is designed for a particular type of public.
Every art work Art will be subject to own interpretation and personal perception. movies are no exception. Like all art forms the films are bound to have a particular perspective and agenda. Movies are among the most expressive of art, and as such, they are able to cover the entire population with no prejudices based on age, color or location. This provides film makers by giving them the ability to impress the vast audience with their creative ideas. But, it is up to the viewers to select the best film.
A film without a specific direction is a disaster because most times , it is the director who decides the style of the film. Through proper coordination with his colleagues, the director is able to produce an amazing work that is a reflection of our lifestyle and our mindset. It is at this point that we will be transported to a new world completely. That is the true satisfaction of watching a film. Otherwise , it’s an unproductive time-waster.
But, aside from the specifics of the making of a movie it self, there are numerous aspects that impact its interaction with the viewers. One example could be “The Room” which released in 2003 as an independent film. The film was written and produced by Tommy Wiseau, who also was a part of the film.
The film was utterly slain by critics, yet it made a profit. Also, there are DC films such as “Suicide Squad” and “Justice League” that despite critiques continue to earn large sums. The reason is that the subject matter although poorly executed , is dear to people who love DC comics.
